Jade Porcelain Round Cup
Ring in the Year of the Snake with this latest incarnation of our limited-edition Jade Porcelain Cup. This year’s vessel draws inspiration from traditional Chinese incense burners popular in the Song dynasty and is imbued with a light-green glaze that honors tradition dating back millennia. The cup is accompanied by a distinctive square wooden saucer with a carved texture that emulates the scales of a snake — a celebratory piece that’s equal parts useful and striking.

A Vessel with an Ancient Heart
Shaped by the Past
Our design team reached back through centuries of Chinese history to find inspiration for the shape of this year’s vessel. The cup mimics the contours of traditional incense burners — a practice popularized during the Song dynasty.
Traditional Aesthetics
The square wooden saucer complements the cup’s rounded shape, an allusion to the traditional Chinese aesthetics of a round sky and square ground.
Ancient Hues
Green glaze is one of the oldest and most celebrated colors of traditional Chinese pottery, dating back thousands of years. We honor it in this year of the snake with this latest vessel.

Care and Cleaning
To preserve the beauty of your limited edition piece, we recommend hand-washing the cup and storing it in a cool, dry place. The wooden cup holder should only be washed with a soft cloth dipped in clean water. We also recommend wiping it down using cooking oil once a month with a soft cloth for maintenance and avoiding exposure to the sun. Clean the cup before the first use using a neutral detergent.
