Kinto Ceramic Mug
The latest edition of our Kinto Ceramic Mug comes in exclusive Azuki Red, named after the small, sweet red beans cherished in Japan for centuries. It’s striking yet understated, which makes it easy to pair with the previous holiday mugs you may already own. Yes, it’s designed to stack with last year’s mug. And yes, it makes an excellent gift for the friend who alphabetizes their spice rack.
Holds 8.5 oz (250 mL). Care instructions: dishwasher and microwave safe. Do not overheat.

Our third Kinto Ceramic Mug brings beauty, comfort, and continuity to every cup. With cylindrical walls, a gentle handle, and a limited-edition Azuki Red glaze, it’s designed for slow sips — and stacks perfectly with last year’s edition.
Kosei Shirotani’s Original Design
This blend of classic beauty and minimalistic design comes from Kosei Shirotani (1968–2020), a Japanese designer influenced by Italian culture. This cup holds both worlds of design.
Amakusa Pottery Stone
The mug is made from a distinctive local mixture of crushed pottery stone sourced from the Amakusa island group in Japan, blended with sand and rocks. You can feel and see this texture on the bare foot of the mug.
Texture of Hasami-yaki
Through the unique high-temperature firing characteristic of Hasami-yaki, the cup is vitrified and bears a matte texture akin to the rustic and organic touch of ceramics. This cup is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, but be careful not to overheat.
